As a key figure in the plant protein industry, Mr. Underwood is honored to share his insights and expertise at this pivotal event. The keynote address by Mr. Underwood is scheduled for November 6th, during which he will provide valuable perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of scaling up next generation protein technologies, and how collaboration between companies is often the key to success.

This two-day workshop, held at the Coffman Memorial Union – Great Hall on the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus, will focus on the challenges and opportunities of process scale up for alternative protein ingredients and products. The workshop audience would be both smaller start-ups and established corporations in the alternative protein category.
The Plant Protein Innovation Center (PPIC) at the University of Minnesota is the first research organization in the US dedicated to bringing together interdisciplinary researchers and industry partners to deliver new, nutritious, and functional plant protein ingredients and products. Its founding members include Archer Daniels Midland Company, Cargill, Conagra, Danone, General Mills, Ingredion, Saputo, among others.
